Hereford has been recently selected within the government’s Town Fund programme. This requires the council and a public/private board to engage with the local community, prepare an evidence base, and draft an Investment Plan leading to securing up to £25m of government funding. The Stronger Towns Board and Herefordshire Council want to hear from local businesses who may have experience in the delivery of the following services:
- Production of a strong evidence base demonstrating local need and demand and existing relevant policy.
- An engagement programme reaching all aspects of the local community and enabling engagement on the visioning and projects within the Investment Plan.
- Development of economic visioning and regeneration strategies.
- Economic and social project and business case development.
- A team with significant previous experience in the above services and which has the capacity to deliver to the Board’s programme (December 2020) and quality requirements.
The council and Board will select a number of companies, including those that are locally based, to be included in a procurement exercise for the above services.
