Improving sleep during the lockdown

65% of us are experiencing a disruption in our sleep, during this lockdown period. Sleep affects health, concentration, motivation and productivity, so here’s a few tips to help:

  •  Wake up at the same time every day, to set the body clock.
  •  Go to bed when you are sleepy, not just because its bedtime. This may be later than usual.
  •  Don’t worry if you’re not sleeping well, it’s to be expected.
  •  Get in morning light: the MOST important factor to help sleep.
  •  Get some exercise. Less activity= less sleep needed.
  •  Alcohol fragments sleep- go steady!
  •  Connect with others and do something worthwhile or pleasurable during your day.
  •  Make a list of things to do, so you can forget about work in the evening.
  •  Tidy away work-related items or cover them, to reduce work related anxiety.
