65% of us are experiencing a disruption in our sleep, during this lockdown period. Sleep affects health, concentration, motivation and productivity, so here’s a few tips to help:
- Wake up at the same time every day, to set the body clock.
- Go to bed when you are sleepy, not just because its bedtime. This may be later than usual.
- Don’t worry if you’re not sleeping well, it’s to be expected.
- Get in morning light: the MOST important factor to help sleep.
- Get some exercise. Less activity= less sleep needed.
- Alcohol fragments sleep- go steady!
- Connect with others and do something worthwhile or pleasurable during your day.
- Make a list of things to do, so you can forget about work in the evening.
- Tidy away work-related items or cover them, to reduce work related anxiety.
