Michelin Star Restaurant Pensons launches Provisions for our People

One-Michelin Star restaurant, Pensons, located on the Netherwood Estate on the Herefordshire/Worcestershire border, launches Provisions for our People – an initiative to deliver free meals to key front-line workers and elderly people in the local area on Friday 3rd April.

Pensons has called for the community to nominate individuals who they feel should receive a meal and asked people to visit the Pensons website to complete an on-line form https://www.pensons.co.uk/provisions to submit a nomination. Head Chef, Chris Simpson, is adapting his fine dining menu to create a small selection of freshly prepared and nutritional heat-at-home ready meals using produce from the Netherwood Estate or sourced from trusted local suppliers. Using his talent for combining flavours and passion for cooking dishes inspired by the seasons, the menu will include; Venison Ragu, Worcester Hop Cheese Tart, Wild Garlic & Potato Soup and Rhubarb & Orange Curd. Pensons will deliver these meals to the recipients on Friday 3rd April, on a first come first served basis, while stocks last, subject to the terms & conditions on the website.

Owner, Peta Darnley, comments; “We have been thinking creatively about ways that a skeleton team, working separately to each other, can volunteer to help the local community and use up the ingredients we have to offer seasonal meals and bring a taste of spring to those most in need at this time.”
