Despite a reduced schedule of events in 2021 local event management experts Amros Promotions have still managed to raise in excess of £30,000 for local charities – with functions ranging from their series of Luncheon Clubs, Sporting Dinners, through to the H&W Chamber of Commerce Charity Golf Day and the ‘BIG LUNCH’,.
Along with Sponsors Hayward Wright Accountancy Group Amros presented a cheque for nearly £16,000 to Wooden Spoon – known as the Children’s Charity for Rugby. This was generated through the “BIG LUNCH” where over 500 people attended along with England Rugby Union Coach Eddie Jones as well as An Evening with, ex Rugby player now commentator, Martin Bayfield.
The cheque was presented by Sponsors, Alistair Hayward Wright & Neil Bettridge from Amros to Vince Hopkins from Wooden Spoon at the Charity s monthly networking event, “First Thursday”, in front of over 60 Worcestershire Wooden Spoon members.
All the funds raised by Wooden Spoon, stay within Worcestershire and will be used to fund a number of projects that brings benefits to disadvantaged children.
“ This fantastic sum can be added to additional funds we have raised through the year enabling us to carry on the work of helping those who most need our assistance. Needs that unfortunately seem to increase by the year. Without the help of Neil, Alistair and our other fantastic sponsors, members and supporters we could not undertake the great work that Wooden Spoon achieves at both a local and a national level.” said local Chairman, John Gibson.
Amros also organized & delivered the fantastic Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce 2021 Charity Golf Day. The day, which was co-sponsored by Nicklin Chartered Accountants & MFG Solicitors was sold out with 84 West Midlands Business people in attendance and raised £2,500 for Midlands Air Ambulance in the process.
Robert Elliott of the Chamber said “The Chamber have some clear objectives, these include connecting & supporting local businesses & organisations. We are delighted to work with Amros, MFG & Nicklins to help connect the businesses competing in the golf day & then able to support Midlands Air Ambulance in their critical activities across our County”.
Together with the funds raised at The Worcestershire, Birmingham & Black Country Business Luncheon Club’ the tremendous total of over £30,000 saw donations also going to the Kidderminster Foodbank, Kemp Hospice, Albion Foundation, Birmingham Children’s Hospital & Sporting Minds UK.

Funds raised at The 2022 ‘BIG LUNCH’ are to be divided between, Wooden Spoon & The Matt Hampson Foundation.
