For the first time in history local rugby teams Malvern Rugby Club and Ledbury Rugby Club clashed in a highly anticipated league match. The two teams are proudly sponsored by Wye Valley Brewery who created a trophy like no other; a golden keg symbolising camaraderie, community, and the shared love of rugby and beer.

In a closely fought game, Malvern RFC emerged victorious with a nail-biting 12-8 win over their local rivals. Following the match, Wye Valley Brewery’s Head Brewer, Gareth Bateman, presented the golden keg to the triumphant Malvern team, cementing a new tradition for the rugby-loving community.
