“I am Helen and I have a handmade arts and gifts business which I started in lockdown, April 2020. Following my passion for creativity and my new found skills in entrepreneurship, in October 2021 I was able to leave my full-time job with a global manufacturing company and follow my dream.
I have begun offering craft workshops to organisations looking to offer them as part of their wellbeing package. Taking time out to be creative is hugely beneficial to our mental wellbeing and helps colleagues to form bonds which will translate into their collaborative working practices.
As a former teacher, I am skilled at getting the best out of people in this setting. I am also hugely passionate about supporting other artists to develop their business skills and self promotion. Joining the Chamber, I hope, will encourage me to grow my network and develop my offering, it isn’t something I naturally find easy to do and I am already enjoying the support and encouragement that this membership offers me.”
