Leading smart home electric vehicle (EV) charger manufacturer Indra was awarded the title of ‘High Growth Business of the Year’ at the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2023.
The Herefordshire and Worcestershire business community came together to celebrate the region’s top performing businesses at the annual awards ceremony, held at the University of Worcester Arena last week on Thursday 15th June 2023.
Coming out on top in the ‘High Growth Business of the Year’ category against four other finalists was Malvern-based company, Indra.
The win comes after an exceptional year of growth for Indra — which saw the business announce a £20m investment in its bidirectional charging technology and a series of significant partnerships including Starla Energy, LV ElectriX, Plug Me In and more.
Most recently, the green tech business launched its smartest charger yet: the Smart LUX™.
Commenting on the win, Ady Moores, Chief Executive Officer at Indra, said: “We’re delighted that Indra has been awarded ‘High Growth Business of the Year’. It’s a testament to the hard work of our teams across all areas of the business – from the engineering teams making bidirectional charging technology a reality, to the HR department that help create such a passionate, high-performing culture.”
This marks Indra’s fifth win at the Hereford and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards – with the company taking gold in the Manufacturer of the Year and Excellence in Sustainability categories in 2021.
Ady adds: “There were so many great businesses from Herefordshire and Worcestershire in the shortlist, and it’s great to see the region’s achievements celebrated once again.”
