Autumn funding for local communities

One of the county’s largest charitable grant makers is launching a new round of the Strengthening Worcestershire grant making programme, in partnership with Worcestershire County Council.

Through the first two funding rounds in 2024 and 2025, £287,000 has been distributed in support of 51 local projects. The new programme will focus on meeting people’s essential needs, helping them to be more financially resilient, better connected and less isolated, to live safely, independently and in good health, with access to the information, community services and digital tools they need. It will also include support for unpaid carers.

The application portal opens on the Worcestershire Community Foundation website on Thursday 1st October. The deadline for applications is Thursday 29th October for projects starting from March 2027.
