Kaleidoscope Plus Group Launches Free Ebook to Help Young People Cope with Exam Stress

Mental health and wellbeing charity Kaleidoscope Plus Group has launched a new free digital resource designed to help young people manage stress and anxiety during exam season.

The ebook Dealing with Exam Stress has been created to support teenagers and young adults experiencing pressure around GCSEs, A-Levels, college and university exams. Packed with practical advice, calming techniques and evidence-based revision strategies the guide aims to help students protect their mental wellbeing while navigating one of the most stressful periods of the academic year.

The resource covers topics including recognising the signs of exam stress, building healthy revision routines, managing panic and overwhelm, improving sleep and concentration and knowing when to ask for support.

With growing awareness around the impact exam pressure can have on young people’s mental health, Kaleidoscope Plus Group hopes the ebook will encourage more open conversations between parents and students.

The guide also includes practical coping tools such as box breathing exercises, grounding techniques, revision planning methods and advice on balancing study with rest and social connection.

Calum Nisbet, CEO at Kaleidoscope Plus Group, said:

I remember all too well how stressful the Exam season can be, placing enormous pressure on young people. The KPG Team know that many students are struggling silently with stress and anxiety and wanted to create a resource that feels supportive, realistic and genuinely helpful — something students can turn to when things start to feel overwhelming.”

“While exams are important, protecting mental wellbeing is equally vital. This ebook is about helping young people build confidence, develop healthier coping strategies and understand that their worth is never defined by grades alone.”

The launch forms part of Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s wider commitment to promoting positive mental health, early intervention and accessible wellbeing support across communities in the Midlands and beyond.

The charity supports thousands of people every year through services including counselling, crisis support, suicide prevention and community wellbeing programmes.
