A newly formed stone polishing equipment supplier has launched in Redditch, with the aid of commercial property agents John Truslove.
AK Surface Solutions has taken a five-year lease on the 1,180 sq ft unit at 12 Dunlop Road, on the Hunt End Industrial Estate, on a rent of £15,300 per annum.
Director Artur Kowalczyk worked with Ian Parker, joint managing director at John Truslove, to secure the premises for his new business.
AK Surface Solutions has been set up to supply professional grinding machines, diamond tools and surface treatment chemicals for concrete, stone and tile specialists.
“We are the only UK distributor for Lavina grinding and polishing machines – probably the industry’s premier brand – as well as providing Diafil abrasives and Faber detergents,” said Artur.
“As well as supplying and maintaining the equipment, we are starting a series of training courses – our customers range from trade professionals to DIY enthusiasts.
“The premises at Dunlop Road has proven ideal for our purpose. The business has got off to a very strong start.”
Ian Parke, joint managing director of John Truslove, who helped Artur seal the deal for the unit, said: “It’s always important to find the right premises for a new business.
“Artur and the team at AK Surface Solutions have extensive experience in a specialised field and a unit in Redditch gives them access to customers across the whole of the Midlands – and further afield – thanks to the area’s links to the motorway network.
“Here at John Truslove we are fortunate to have the widest selection of commercial properties for sale or rent from our landlord and property-owning clients.
“This means that we are always able to help a company find a property that best suits their business needs.”
