The 32-bedroom hotel was praised by judges for its environmentally conscious strategy, friendly staff and award winning 1919 Restaurant.

The Cottage in the Wood completed a five-year, £2million refurbishment programme last year, with a complete redesign of the entire hotel and restaurant producing improvements and additions to improve the customer experience.
The hotel was recently awarded four AA star status, and the appointment of head chef, Rob Mason, in 2020 led to the 2AA star restaurant winning the Taste of Worcestershire award in 2022.
