Business Round Up – April

The shortlisted finalists for the 2023 Chamber Awards have been announced – well done and thanks to the large number of initial applicants. The final round of interviews will be carried out in early May and the winners announced in front of 700 people at the Awards event on the 15th of June. All the finalists can be viewed here! I hope to see many of you there on the evening and at the post-awards party.

We launched the 2023/24 Business Manifesto at the Annual Economic Conference on the 30th March.

The Chamber’s Business Manifesto outlines what the Chamber will deliver in 2023/24, focusing on 6 key areas:

  • The Year Ahead in Business
  • Business Costs
  • Workforce Planning
  • Global Markets
  • Technology and Innovation
  • Net Zero

These categories are put together from the research we do throughout the year, centered on the Quarterly Economic Survey. The Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber have one of the country’s highest responses to the QES, supplying high quality data to the British Chamber of Commerce and on to Government, so thanks to all of you who take part. Please continue to do so, you’ll keep Robert Elliot very happy!

Until next time, Mike.
