West Mercia Search and Rescue are seeking sponsors for The Tom Jones Festival of Sport and Family Fun Day.
If you’d like to get a warm fuzzy feeling, demonstrate your company’s community spirit and get some great brand exposure (we’re already getting lots of local media coverage on BBC Radio Hereford and Worcester, Radio WM, Sunshine Radio, Radio Wyvern etc.), then read on!
We are organising The Tom Jones Festival of Sport and Family Fun Day to celebrate the life of a young man, Tom Jones, who tragically lost his life in the River Severn in 2018. Tom was a student at Worcester University and loved all sports, so it seems a fitting tribute to present a multi-sport festival in his name. The event will also raise funds for West Merecia Search and Rescue (WMSAR), a registered charity that funds, trains, equips and operates a 100% volunteer staffed search and rescue team. It takes about £100,000 each year to keep us operational, and we raise all of those funds through sponsorships, public donations and grant applications. When people go missing in Worcestershire, Herefordshire or Shropshire, our members drop everything to search land and water until that person is found.
Where and when? The event will take place at Droitwich Spa Leisure Centre on Sunday, July 7, 2024.
What: An aquathlon (swim/run) Challenge for 7-99 year olds, a football tournament for U8-U12 boys and girls, a have-a-go rugby taster day for tots-11 year olds and a family fun day (food, refreshments, music, kids’ rides, fun activities, etc.)
How can you help? You can sponsor a sporting event age category for £350, a fun kids’ activity for £500 or go all out to be the main event sponsor for £6,000. If you’d like to partner up with another company, we would be very open to two main sponsors at £3,000 each.
Sponsors will get:
– Social media coverage before, during and after the event
– Promotional banner at the event
– Logo on event website and on a professionally produced event showreel (available after the event to all sponsors)
– Shout-outs on the day (DJ + race commentator)
– Photo/prize presentation opportunities
– Potential local media coverage (main sponsor/s only)
– Gazebo/flyer handouts/product demonstrations at the event (main sponsor/s only)
– Logo on Aquathlon Challenge 2024 T-Shirts (main sponsor/s only)
