‘A Leap of Faith’ Charity Skydive for The Courtyard

Please sponsor our four Courtyard supporters who are taking their own leap of faith for Leap Year by jumping 15,000ft in a tandem skydive in May to raise funds for Herefordshire’s much loved community arts charity, celebrating its 25th anniversary year.

Chief Executive Ian Archer, his husband Gabriel Nascimento, Board member Laura Hall and theatre director Jack Ludwig are doing their jump on Sunday, 19 May from Dunkeswell Aerodrome, near Exeter.

“Terrified” is how Ian describes the challenge ahead although he is no stranger to physical fundraisers, having completed a high zip wire over a quarry in Snowdonia. “The Courtyard is a diverse and inclusive cultural hub for our community. It enriches the lives of many people by providing opportunities for artistic expression, cultural enrichment and community engagement. It also supports the county’s economic prosperity by about £15 million a year. Every penny raised will go towards ensuring that everyone in Herefordshire has a chance to experience the arts.”

The team are hoping to raise £5,000 to support The Courtyard’s vital community and outreach programmes working with all age groups, as well as the charity itself.
