Following the success of last year, Visit Herefordshire is joining forces once again with Visit Worcestershire for the annual Tourism Awards for Excellence.

Anna Pearson Gregory of Monnington House, Winner of the Best Self Catering 2016 Award, said: "It is great the industry has recognised our hard work.  Herefordshire is a wonderful county to visit - there are so many activities available nearby and of course the food is superb which helps enormously!"
The awards are aligned with the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence. Winners of a related category have the chance to be put forward at a national level to represent the county. As such, many of the VisitEngland Awards are closed to local businesses unless they are the winners at a local level. Previous VisitEngland finalists have included Brockencote Hall, Poston Mill Caravan Park, Severn Valley Railway and Hidelow Cottages.  The awards are a chance to celebrate the dynamic range of tourism businesses in the two counties; from local eateries to fine-dining, vibrant festivals and unique visitor attractions.
Winner of the Best Eating Out 2016, The Cotford Hotel in Malvern stated: “We are somewhat flattered as there are some really lovely eateries in Worcestershire. However, the response that we’ve received from the public and existing customers has been amazing. Bookings are effervescent at the moment, and the air of excitement is having the effect throughout all of our staff to review current standards and move on to higher levels across the board.”
Visit Worcestershire and Visit Herefordshire are happy to announce the addition of Best Drinks Producer to the list for 2017. The exciting addition means businesses can now submit individual applications for up to 11 different categories including: Best Hotel, Best Guest Accommodation, Best Self Catering, Best Conference Venue, Best Eating Out, Best Food Producer, Best Drinks Producer, Best Visitor Attraction, Best Touring, Camping and Holiday Park, Best Festival and Events (Community) and Best Festival and Events (Commercial).
