Top of the Crops!

Pip, Pip, Hooray! Herefordshire farm wins Fruit Grower of the Year Award.

We are delighted to announce that Herefordshire’s very own, Rob and Henry Hancocks, of Celtic Marches Beverages, have been crowned Fruit Grower of the Year at the National Arable & Grassland Awards 2022 at The Hilton London Bankside, this week.

Rob, Director of the Award-Winning Craft Cider company, received the award alongside youngest son, Henry Hancocks. Both farm the 200-acre cider orchards in Herefordshire; their vast crop, make them one of the UK’s largest self-sustaining single estate cider producers.

Celtic Marches Beverages are no strangers to awards and have received international acclaim for their craft ciders. Their core range includes Thundering Molly, a key flagship Herefordshire cider.

Fresher to the family is the PULP cider range, having been developed as a festival brand in 2014 and enjoyed in Bag in Boxes across the country, the team have been busy expanding the lines to meet PULP’s fast-growing demand. The bold branding and solid craft credentials are making this brand a key player in emerging brands taking the hotspot with bottles, cans and kegs.

Rob and Henry’s latest project has been nurturing their vineyard, working with the land and diversifying, recently launching Radlow Hundred. Their small batch English Wine is a testimony to their hard work, passion for growing and ability to adapt the farm; planning for future growth and success.

Congratulations Rob and Henry, another fantastic achievement for Celtic Marches!
