Fourteen courageous supporters took fundraising to new heights as they completed a tandem skydive at Swansea Airport in aid of Lee’s Place a Community Power project, raising vital funds to support people experiencing homelessness across Herefordshire.
Representing three enthusiastic teams , The Lee’s Place Leapers, The Flying Chickens from Avara Foods and The Happy Jumpers, participants embraced the challenge with determination, humour and an incredible sense of community. Following their training and safety briefing, each volunteer took the leap, creating an unforgettable day filled with laughter, teamwork and personal achievement.
The event was made possible not only by the bravery of those who jumped but also by the generosity of businesses, colleagues, friends and family members who donated, sponsored participants and came along to cheer them on.
At Lee’s Place, we know that strong communities are built through partnership. Every pound raised will help us continue providing practical support, warmth and hope to people facing homelessness, while demonstrating the positive impact local businesses and individuals can make when they work together.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took part, donated or supported the event in any way. Your encouragement and generosity have helped make this challenge a tremendous success.
Although the skydives are complete, the fundraising continues for a little while longer. If you would still like to support our incredible jumpers, there’s still time to donate and help make a lasting difference.
