Law firm mfg Solicitors has continued to strengthen its position as a trusted adviser to owner-managed businesses, corporates, and private equity-backed companies across the West Midlands.
Following sustained growth and a rise in new client wins, the firm’s Corporate team has expanded over the past 12 months through a series of high-profile senior appointments – with the team now comprising five partners and nine other lawyers.
Led by partner and Head of Corporate, Clare Lang, the team has been bolstered by the arrival of Matt Smith, Philip Chapman, Nick Little and Sophie Thornton.
All four appointments have enhanced the team’s expertise and depth across a number of key growth sectors, including manufacturing and engineering, the circular economy, aerospace and defence, professional services and technology. The team advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, succession-driven exits, private equity-backed deals and corporate restructurings.
Working closely with specialists from across the firm, recent work has included advising on the transition of Grapetree Foods to employee ownership, the sale of The Secret Garden School and Parker Precision Engineering, an investment in Play Revolution and the acquisition of Waterloo Hire.
Clare Lang said: “We have built significant momentum over the past year, growing not only the size of our team, but also the breadth of work we are undertaking for clients.
“The additional experience within the team, combined with our sector focus, means we are well placed to support businesses across the region and nationally.”
