Summer Heat, Global Reach: HSG Expands Advanced Cooling PPE Across Europe & the Middle East

Heat Stress Global (HSG) is continuing its international expansion this summer as demand grows for advanced workforce cooling adaptation solutions designed to protect workers operating in extreme heat.

Specialising in cooling-enabled PPE and workwear systems, HSG develops and supplies evaporative and phase change cooling technologies for industries including construction, energy, aviation, logistics, rail, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects across Europe and the Middle East.

The HSG range includes cooling vests, recovery cooling towels, crown coolers, neck shades, and a variety of above-the-neck cooling solutions designed to integrate directly into protective headgear and PPE systems.

Powered by ActiKewl® evaporative cooling technology, garments use advanced super absorbent fibre systems engineered to retain and gradually release water through controlled evaporation, helping reduce heat build-up and support worker comfort during prolonged exposure. Independent testing by the Hohenstein Institute in Germany recently confirmed ActiKewl® as delivering market-leading cooling performance compared with comparable products worldwide.

HSG also supplies QOOLPAX® phase change cooling systems for workers operating in confined spaces and hazardous industrial environments.

Recent field evaluations conducted by HSG in environments exceeding 40°C demonstrated measurable reductions in garment surface temperatures, supporting both worker welfare and operational productivity.

Mike Freely, Co-Founder & Director of HSG, said:

“We’re proud to be developing and exporting innovative cooling technologies from the UK into some of the hottest working environments in the world.”
