Event Series for Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce

Home / News & Opportunities / Opportunities / Tenders

Date: 14/06/2018

Companies are invited to quote for the delivery of 3 leadership workshops, as part of one collective series to be delivered on behalf of the Chamber.

Executive Summary

This is an  Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the provision of a new Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Event Series (HWCC). Companies are invited to quote for the delivery of 3 leadership workshops, as part of one collective series to be delivered on behalf of the Chamber. Inspired by current Chamber President, Andrea Borwell-Fox, the previously known President Lecture Series has been a huge success, and we are now looking to develop the series further.

HWCC are looking for a provider to work with, to collaboratively design and deliver a series of 3 leadership workshops in the style of a lecture/workshop. Each workshop must be interactive, engaging and provide bite size training tips for attendees.
Based on previous client feedback collected, examples of recurring topics of interest are:
  • Managing change
  • Communicating effectively and emotional intelligence
  • Strategy building and business growth
  • Employee retention, talent shortage, flexible working hours
  • Leadership – inspiration, mindfulness and business results

1.Background and Business Requirements

HWCC is a membership organisation and offers a wide range of business support to the local business community. Our audience is largely Herefordshire or Worcestershire based although some visitors are from further afield.
The key objectives for the new Event Series are:
  • To engage and inspire attendees
  • To leave attendees with learning points to take away to either implement or research further
  • To widen the offering of the Chamber Events programme
  • To add value to Chamber Membership
  • To supply to the needs/demands of our Members

HWCC would welcome supplier ideas regarding the content of the event series to enable the objectives to be achieved.
The Events will be delivered at a local venue on suitable dates, chosen by HWCC and agreed with by the supplier.
A rough outline of the timings for a typical event is as follows:
08.30am    Arrival and Networking
09.00am    Delivery of Workshop Lecture – this time must include an interactive session, and allow time for questions at the end. There is also the potential to include a client case study for best practice examples on the given topic.
11.00am    Event close

3. Tender submission / Delivery Plan

The supplier's tender document should include the following:
  • A short summary of their background and experience (200 words maximum)
  • Charge per day or indication of total cost for the series
  • Example ideas of what they propose to deliver, either in line with the section above, or an alternative suggestions based on their client portfolio demand (500 words max)
  • Whether the option of a partnership delivery event is an option, rather than a chargeable service.
