A thriving web-based printing business has more than doubled its footprint after moving to a new home in Redditch after calling in commercial property agents John Truslove.
The move to the Washford Industrial Estate will enable BeanPrint.co.uk to expand, acquiring new machinery to produce its ranges of business cards, leaflets and flyers, posters, labels, invitations, calendars and even party facemasks.
BeanPrint.co.uk’s founder Chris Chedgzoy, a software engineer with more than two decade’s experience in the printing industry, said: “We were stifled at our old premises; we had run out of space and needed room to breathe, so I got in touch with Ian Parker at John Truslove.
“Ian helped us find our old premises, back in 2021, so he knew us and what we needed. He’s great, he just gets on with the job and comes through every time. He found us this unit for a great deal and it gives us room to grow for the future.”
Ian, joint managing director at John Truslove, helped Chris and the team at BeanPrint seal a five year lease deal on 3,848 sq ft at 93a Heming Road, at £19,500 per annum.
Chris was going to retire back in 2000 but got bored and launched BeanPrint in 2009, designing the print and operational software himself. Since then his daughters Dan and Nik have joined the family business, along with their husbands.
“We have nine people now and print around 500 items a day,” said Chris. “Our system enables us to run the operation with a small team, handling the smaller orders that bigger printers tend to shy away from.
“I’m stepping back a bit and semi-retired now, although I still come in every day. The move means the business is set for the future, for the family to continue its growth.
“We have room now to bring in new machinery and improve the quality of our work even more. This move will really allow us to spread our wings.”
