2026 marked Hoople’s 15th birthday. To celebrate this important milestone, the company decided to complete 15 “Good Deeds” throughout the year as a way of giving back to the community that has supported them along the way.
At the half-way point, Hoople have been reflecting on six months of activities that have utilised the company’s skills and resources to support charities and individuals achieve their goals. Members of the Building Maintenance team assisted St Michael’s Hospice with their Christmas Tree collection at the start of the year and Hoople have helped two talented boys realise their dream of competing in the World Karate Championships in Romania.
Colleagues from services across the business have been active in supporting fundraisers, and the students from the Hoople Study Programme have also got on board, organising a food collection for Lee’s Place.
The Hoople football team have challenged other local businesses to compete in charity football matches, and the company have also supported the Marches Family Network’s running team.
On Random Acts of Kindness Day, Hoople treated 30 customers at the County Hospital Café to a free drink, thanks to a lovely collaboration with Sodexo. Next in the diary is community litter pick, allowing colleagues to use their paid volunteering day to spruce up the streets and parks around Hoople’s Legion Way offices.
Hoople employees are looking forward to another six months of activities and are open to ideas for community activities to join in with. If you have any suggestions, email [email protected].
