King’s Worcester has joined the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce as a Strategic Member, strengthening our commitment to working with regional businesses and preparing young people for successful futures.
The King’s Worcester Foundation educates more than 1,000 pupils aged 2 to 18 across King’s Worcester, King’s St Alban’s and King’s Hawford. Alongside academic excellence, we equip pupils with the skills, experiences and connections needed to thrive in an evolving world of work.
Strong links between education and business are increasingly important. Degree apprenticeships now offer a prestigious alternative to traditional university routes, combining higher education with meaningful professional experience. This summer, a record number of King’s leavers chose degree apprenticeships, while many others secured places at leading universities in the UK and overseas.
Students will join organisations including Goldman Sachs, BakerHicks, St. James’s Place and KPMG, gaining professional qualifications and valuable workplace skills. Others are beginning careers with local employers, highlighting the strength of opportunities within our region.
Through Chamber membership, we aim to expand apprenticeship opportunities, work experience, careers talks, mentoring and industry insight. We also welcome businesses to our annual Careers Extravaganza, where pupils engage directly with professionals from a wide range of sectors, strengthening the region’s future workforce and economic prosperity together.
