Exciting new developments for KEMP Hospice shops across the Wyre Forest

KEMP Hospice is bringing exciting changes to its local shops, with a refresh at their Worcester Street, Kidderminster shop, a new home in Stourport and the opening of a dedicated bookshop in Bewdley this November.

KEMP Hospice is looking forward to an exciting new chapter for its retail offering, with these developments designed to enhance the shopping experience and give local supporters even more ways to shop sustainably while supporting their local hospice.

Customers visiting KEMP Hospice’s Worcester Street shop will now find a refreshing new style in the shop, including new signage, an updated layout and some new additions to the shop’s offering.

The changes are designed to create a welcoming shopping environment and make it even easier for customers to discover great value finds while supporting a local cause.

KEMP Hospice’s Stourport shop is moving from Tan Lane to the High Street, with the new premises currently undergoing renovations ahead of its planned opening on Thursday 5 November 2026.

The move marks an exciting opportunity to continue serving the local community from a new busier location, welcoming shoppers and supporters through the doors.

Vital to the running of the shop, KEMP Hospice are looking for volunteers to join the shop team. Volunteering offers a chance to meet new people, learn new skills and make a meaningful contribution to the work of KEMP Hospice, helping to raise vital funds for local people and their families.

Anyone interested in volunteering at the Stourport shop should get in touch with KEMP Hospice to find out more.

Book lovers will have another reason to visit Bewdley this November, as KEMP Hospice plans to open a dedicated new bookshop on Thursday 12 November 2026.

The new shop on Load Street in Bewdley will offer a range of books and other media, including CDs and DVDs, giving pre-loved items a new lease of life while raising funds for the hospice.

The bookshop will complement KEMP Hospice’s existing Bewdley shop, which will remain open. The new addition expands the charity’s retail offering, creating another opportunity for the local community to discover second-hand treasures and support hospice care.

Gary Barnes, Head of Retail at KEMP Hospice said “KEMP Hospice’s shops play a vital role in raising funds to support local people living with life-limiting conditions and their families across the Wyre Forest. By shopping with us, donating good-quality pre-loved items and volunteering, our local community helps us continue to provide our care and support services free of charge.

“We’re incredibly excited about these developments and the opportunities they bring. We look forward to welcoming both new and familiar faces through our doors, giving our shoppers more to discover and our volunteers the opportunity to be part of these exciting changes.”
