Dorset House Nursing Home is delighted to announce its upcoming Harvest Festival on Friday, September 27th. This event will unite residents, families, and the local community to celebrate autumn’s bounty while supporting a worthy cause—raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Known for its award-winning Residential, Nursing, and Dementia Care, Dorset House is dedicated to enriching the lives of its residents and fostering strong connections with the wider community. This year’s Harvest Festival is set to be a vibrant celebration filled with community spirit, joyful activities, and the season’s warmth. It’s a time to honour the efforts behind the harvest and to share its rewards with those around us.
In addition to the festival, Dorset House is running a month-long food drive to support local food banks. We welcome any donations; please feel free to drop them off at the Dorset House reception throughout September.
As a highlight of the Harvest Festival, Dorset House will host a Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Attendees can indulge in delicious cakes and coffee while enjoying the company of friends, all supporting a cause that touches many lives.
The festivities will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a church service and hymns, followed by coffee and cakes in support of Macmillan.
