Cornerstone Group today announces the acquisitions of ONE Creative environments Ltd (“ONE”), an award-winning, multi-disciplinary design consultancy and Brinson Staniland Partnership (BSP), a highly respected consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) services. This marks a significant strategic milestone, positioning Cornerstone Group as a fully integrated property and construction consultancy delivering end-to-end services across the built environment.
The addition of ONE strengthens Cornerstone Group’s ability to support clients throughout the entire asset lifecycle from strategic advisory and funding support, through data intelligence and detailed design to technical delivery and operational optimisation, benefitting clients of all companies within the larger group.
The addition of both ONE and BSP significantly strengthens our M&E capability. By combining ONE and BSP’s established team with the existing Cornerstone M&E operation, we are creating a deeper, more scalable and more regionally diverse offering resulting in greater technical depth across mechanical and electrical disciplines, enhanced capacity to deliver complex, large-scale projects, a broader sector reach and geographic coverage with a stronger, future ready platform for sustainable growth.
Following the acquisitions, Cornerstone Group now comprises:
• Naismiths, a trusted leader in project monitoring, building consultancy, and restructuring & advisory services.
• Edmond Shipway, specialist consultants in project management, cost consultancy, M&E and sustainability services.

ONE’s exceptional design capability and multi-disciplinary approach complement our existing strengths, enabling us to deliver even greater value to our clients across the UK and overseas, strengthening our position in a rapidly evolving market.
As building performance, sustainability and energy efficiency continue to rise in importance across the built environment, strengthening our M&E expertise is a key part of our long-term strategy. The acquisition of ONE and BSP reinforces our commitment to investing in specialist capability and delivering integrated, high-quality professional services to our clients.”
Mark Martin, Chairman of ONE Creative environments (ONE), added:
“Joining Cornerstone Group provides ONE with a stronger national platform and opportunities for further growth, while preserving our identity and values. It opens new possibilities for collaboration, which will be highly beneficial to our clients, and strengthens our commitment to excellence in design, innovation, sustainability and people.
The Directors of ONE will remain with the business and join the Group’s management team, ensuring leadership continuity, cultural alignment and a smooth integration process. ONE will continue to deliver projects with the same team, with no interruption or impact to current service provision.”
Patrick Brinson, Director at BSP, added:
