Bridges of Light set to return to Worcester in 2026

Worcester’s city centre will once again be transformed this autumn as Bridges of Light returns on 28 and 29 October 2026.

Presented by Severn Arts, the free two-day festival brings together high-quality light installations, interactive artworks and large-scale spectacle, created by professional artists working alongside local communities. The event forms part of a wider programme celebrating community, creativity and collaboration [SC1.1]and place across the city.

Last year’s festival welcomed over 20,000 visitors, generating a strong sense of pride and vibrancy across Worcester, while also delivering significant regional visibility through digital engagement and media coverage.

Planning is now underway for 2026, with ambitions to build on this success and deliver an even more impactful programme for residents, visitors and local businesses alike.

To help achieve this, Severn Arts is working with partners and is inviting businesses across Worcestershire to get involved through sponsorship. Support will play a key role in enabling the festival to expand its offer – from headline spectacle pieces to smaller installations across the city.

Bridges of Light 2026 is set to once again bring thousands of people into Worcester, supporting the local economy while showcasing the city as a vibrant cultural destination.
