A Different Kind of Christmas Bingo

Forget numbers and dabbers. This Christmas, ISO Quality Services is challenging Worcestershire to play a different kind of bingo.

Returning for its ninth year, the Bingo Box Challenge brings local businesses and individuals together to collect much-needed donations for Worcester Foodbank.

Everyone who signs up receives a Bingo-sheet featuring essential items needed by the Foodbank this winter. The aim is simple: collect as many items as possible and fill a box ready for Christmas.

Even the simplest donation can make a difference remarkably quickly. During a recent visit to the foodbank, the QSL team learnt that an item donated at 9am could be in someone’s home by 5pm that same day.

Richard Auger, Deputy Manager at Worcester Foodbank, summed up the impact of the initiative: “The food donated through your Bingo Box initiative makes a real difference to our clients.”

For Richard, being part of that effort is “a real privilege”, a sentiment that captures the dedication of the volunteers who give their time to support the Foodbank and its community.

For those short on time, a cash donation can make just as much of a difference, helping the foodbank purchase fresh items that can’t be donated as part of the challenge.

Last year, 18 Worcestershire businesses helped QSL collect 25 Bingo Boxes and £590 in cash donations.

Whether it’s a full box, a handful of essentials or a financial contribution, every donation helps support local people this Christmas.
