St Michael’s Hospice is preparing to open its latest new store in Ross-on-Wye, which will be packed with affordable pre-loved treasures.
The Cantilupe Road store (HR9 7AN) will be the third St Michael’s Hospice shop in Ross-on-Wye when it opens next Tuesday (May 9th).
St Michael’s has a significant retail presence in Herefordshire and its borders. This financial year it is expected to bring in almost £2 million towards patient care at the Bartestree-based Hospice and within the community.
The latest shop in Ross is in addition to the Home and Living Store on the Alton Road Industrial Estate, and its town centre outlet on Gloucester Road. Each store will have a different offering, so they will all be worth a visit.
“We’re so excited to open this new store. It’s a great location for those wishing to shop or donate pre-loved items. With over 3,000 square feet of refurbished retail space, there’s plenty to choose from,” said Rachel Jones, the Hospice’s Income Generation, Marketing and Communications Director.
“We would love the community to join us at the shop launch next Tuesday. For those arriving early the first 50 purchasing customers will receive a goody bag. We will also be celebrating by treating customers to Bucks Fizz and sweet treats and it’s a great opportunity for us to thank everyone involved who has helped to get the shop looking great in time for the opening.”
The shop, located opposite the town’s Morrisons store, will stock a range of pre-loved treasures from books to furniture, and clothes to toys. It’s also a guilt-free way of shopping, as every purchase means one less item for landfill and a contribution to Hospice care.
The official opening will take place next Tuesday from 10am-7pm. The store will then be open Monday to Saturday from 9am-5pm, with plans to open seven days a week in due course. More details here – https://www.st-michaels-hospice.org.uk/stores/ross-on-wye-cantilupe-road-shop/
The shop is also seeking volunteers, so if you would like to be part of a friendly team and give-back to a great charity, then pop along to the shop or email [email protected]
St Michael’s Hospice provides palliative and end-of-life care across the community, in the comfort of people’s homes, in the Inpatient Unit at St Michael’s in Bartestree, and by offering support to day patients.
The majority of the charity’s annual care costs are funded thanks to the generosity of the community, including shopping at our retail sites and online, donating and taking part in events, playing our lottery and leaving gifts in Wills.
