WORCESTERSHIRE CYCLISTS TAKE ON 100 MILE ROUTE

Home / News & Opportunities

Date: 03/05/2018

Two cyclists from Worcestershire have joined forces to raise funds for Deaf Direct.

Lorraine Westcott and Julie Gerrard will be taking on the gruelling Ride London - Surrey cycle race.
The 100 mile journey begins in London before heading out in to the countryside of Surrey, returning to London for the final stretch along The Mall.

Julie, a part time maths teacher and mum to two boys has been cycling for two years, completing the Worcester Classic 100 mile and the Evans Ride Worcester 100k challenges.  She mentioned: "I have just completed the London Marathon, and have signed up to an ironman challenge as well. I hope I can raise lots of money for Deaf Direct."

Lorraine is also looking forward to taking to the streets of London again after only recently completing the London Marathon and is ready for her next challenge!

Andrew Stevenson, CEO for Deaf Direct said ‘We are incredibly grateful to both Lorraine and Julie for taking on such a big challenge to help raise funds for Deaf Direct. The ride is incredibly tough and we look forward to supporting them both’.
