As responsible employers you will already be aware of the need to acknowledge and provide a provision for the mental health and wellbeing of your employees. In the UK 1 in 4 suffer from mental illness at any one time and as result a number can develop suicidal thoughts. Sadly in the UK some 84 men (alone) take their own life every week this can be due to a number of triggers including stress.

Therefore it is important that each employer has a good understanding of signs and what to do if an employee presents with suicidal thoughts.

At Hereford College of Arts the wellbeing of our staff and students is a priority.   Therefore we are collaborating with Papyrus to host and offer ASIST - Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, at our Folly Road campus.

This type of training is rarely on offer within our locality, and I wanted to offer you the opportunity to send a member/or members of your staff to an accredited course. Ensuring your staff are trained in this way illustrates that you are a forward thinking company, concerned with building a healthy workforce and fully committed to providing for the wellbeing of your employees.

You can find out more about the course from the link below.
