The University of Worcester has been named University of the Year for Graduate Jobs 2027 in the Daily Mail University Guide, recognising its outstanding record in preparing students for successful careers.
Judges praised Worcester’s record for securing high-skilled employment for its graduates, describing a performance that “rivals the best in the country” and leaves “many of the Russell Group in the shade”.
The prestigious award has been announced on the day students across the country receive their exam results and consider their next steps, highlighting Worcester’s long-standing success in helping graduates secure employment and further study opportunities.
The recognition reflects the University’s commitment to developing employment-focussed courses, strong industry partnerships, and practical learning experiences that equip graduates with skills most valued by employers.
Explaining the judges’ decision, Alastair McCall, Editor of the Daily Mail University Guide, said: “Worcester has a record for getting its graduates into high-skilled jobs that rivals the best in the country, leaving many of the Russell Group in the shade.”
He added: “It has achieved this national success after a period of sustained and heavy investment in teaching and learning that is now paying dividends for its lucky students.”
Alastair continued: “Today’s prospective students are quite rightly considering how the investment in their higher education might pay off with job outcomes an inevitable concern. They would do well to consider Worcester.”
Alastair concluded: “With its admirable institutional focus on equipping students for the working world, outstanding modern teaching and learning facilities – and the data to prove that this is paying off – Worcester made an unanswerable case to be the Daily Mail University of the Year for Graduate Jobs 2027.”
The award comes as the latest annual Government Longitudinal Educational Outcomes (LEO) data confirms Worcester’s exceptional graduate outcomes. According to the LEO 2026 figures, the University of Worcester is the UK’s top multi-subject university for sustained employment, further study, or both, one year after graduation.
In the ten years that the LEO data has been the Government Official Statistic, Worcester is the number one multi-subject university for sustained employment outcomes overall.

She continued: “It’s testament to the quality of teaching and education provided in our University, and is further evidence of what a great place Worcester is to live, study, and start your career in.”
