Stronger Together: New Webinar Programme Launches to Support Veterans’ Families and Friends

Combat Stress Learning is proud to launch the Stronger Together Programme, a new series of five live online webinars designed specifically for family members and friends of veterans.

Families and loved ones often play a vital role in supporting veterans who may be living with the effects of trauma, PTSD, low mood, or emotional distress. The Stronger Together Programme aims to provide practical knowledge, helpful tools, and a supportive environment to help participants better understand these challenges while also protecting their own wellbeing.

Supporting Those Who Support Veterans

The programme has been developed to help family members and friends gain a clearer understanding of trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), while building confidence in supporting a loved one who may be struggling.

Through five engaging live webinars, participants will learn how to:

  • Support a veteran experiencing distress
  • Improve communication and rebuild connections
  • Respond safely to anger and difficult emotions
  • Recognise and support low mood
  • Protect and maintain their own wellbeing

The sessions are designed to be practical, accessible, and easy to follow, providing real-world strategies that can be applied immediately.

Flexible and Accessible Learning

While attendees are encouraged to participate in all five webinars to gain the full benefit of the programme, there is no requirement to attend every session. This flexible approach allows individuals to access the support and information most relevant to their circumstances.

In addition to expert guidance, participants will have the opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences, creating a sense of understanding, support, and community.
