Worcestershire Cricket Foundation’s popular Worcester Street Sixes event returns to the heart of the city on Wednesday 15 July 2026, bringing together local businesses, spectators and the wider community for an afternoon of cricket, connection and friendly competition.
Taking place across Cathedral Square and Worcester High Street, the event will once again transform Worcester city centre into a vibrant street cricket venue as teams from some of the region’s best-known organisations go head-to-head in a fast paced six-a-side softball tournament.
This year’s event is proudly supported by headline sponsor Worcestershire Ambassadors, with teams taking part from organisations including Bishop Fleming, JPM Broking Services, Danton HR & Training, MFG Solicitors, Sanctuary, the University of Worcester, Encore and Bespoke Advice.
Designed to be accessible to all abilities, Street Sixes sees teams of up to 10 players compete in a softball format, creating an enjoyable and inclusive event for experienced cricketers and complete beginners alike. Sign in begins at 12:30pm, with matches taking place from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
More than just a cricket tournament, Worcester Street Sixes is a celebration of community. The event brings together businesses from across the county, encouraging teamwork, strengthening local connections and creating a lively atmosphere in the city centre for participants and spectators alike.
Event Coordinator, Elsa-Marie Evans, said: “Worcester Street Sixes has become one of the highlights of our calendar. It’s fantastic to see businesses from across the county coming together to support the Foundation while enjoying a fun and memorable day. Whether you’re taking part or simply watching from the sidelines, there is always a brilliant atmosphere.”
All proceeds from the event support Worcestershire Cricket Foundation’s work across the county, helping to fund programmes focused on inclusion, wellbeing and youth development through cricket.
Harry Kitchen of Worcestershire Cricket Foundation added: “We’re delighted to see so many respected organisations involved in this year’s event. Worcester Street Sixes showcases the power of sport to bring people together, strengthen community connections and support opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved in cricket.”
