ATWELL INTERNATIONAL CELEBRATES 30 YEARS OF INNOVATION AND INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP

Worcestershire-based Atwell International Ltd is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026, marking three decades of innovation, industry leadership and commitment to advancing safety standards within the lift sector.

Founded in 1996, Atwell International has grown from a specialist supplier into a globally recognised provider of VG Safety Products™ and associated lift components, supporting clients across the UK and international markets. The milestone anniversary was recently celebrated with a special event where colleagues, industry partners and long-standing connections were invited to join the team for a celebratory dinner and a tour of the facilities.

Over the past three decades, Atwell International has built its reputation on technical integrity, trusted partnerships and a focus on delivering high-quality safety solutions. Managing Director Russell Walker joined the company just two years after it was established and has played a key role in guiding its growth and long-term vision.

Russell Walker commented: “Reaching our 30th anniversary is a proud moment for everyone involved with Atwell International. What started as a specialist business has grown into a globally respected supplier within the lift safety sector. We’ve been fortunate to work with outstanding partners, customers and colleagues who have helped shape the company over the years.”

A significant milestone in the company’s development came in 2013 when Atwell International relocated to its current headquarters at Ball Mill Top Business Park in Hallow, Worcester. The move allowed the business to expand its operations and strengthen its ability to support customers both nationally and internationally.

Innovation continues to play a central role in the company’s success. In 2024, Atwell International launched the VG AiO Speed Watcher, an advanced all-in-one overspeed detection and uncontrolled movement monitoring system designed to enhance lift safety and simplify installation for engineers.

The product quickly gained industry recognition, with Atwell International named Best Supplier – Safety Products at the Ellies Europe Awards during Interlift 2025. The AiO Speed Watcher was also shortlisted as a finalist in the Elevator World Product of the Year Award, further highlighting its impact within the sector.

Most recently, the company has been named a finalist in the 2026 Chamber Business Award – Excellence in Innovation, recognising organisations across the county that demonstrate forward-thinking innovation and industry leadership. This follows Atwell International being named a finalist in the Worcestershire Innovation Champion Award 2026.

As Atwell International enters its fourth decade, the company is looking firmly to the future, with expansion plans already underway for 2026. This includes growing its team across several areas of the business to support increasing demand for its safety solutions.

Russell Walker added, “Our success has always been built on the strength of our people. As we celebrate 30 years in business, we are also looking ahead to the next chapter of growth. Expanding our team will allow us to continue developing innovative solutions while maintaining the high standards of service and technical expertise our customers expect.”
