Worcestershire Cricket Foundation is inviting businesses from across the county to take part in Worcester Street Sixes, returning to the heart of the city on Wednesday 15 July 2026.
Set across Cathedral Square and Worcester High Street, the event will once again transform the city centre into a lively cricket venue, bringing together local businesses, spectators and the wider community for an afternoon of fast paced action and connection.
Street Sixes is a six a side street cricket tournament designed for businesses of all sizes. Teams of up to 10 players take part in a softball format, making it accessible to everyone, whether experienced players or complete beginners. The day begins with sign in at 12:30pm, with matches running from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
Event Coordinator, Elsa-Marie Evans, explains “We’re welcoming businesses of all shapes and sizes to get involved. No cricket experience is needed, just a willingness to take part, support a great cause and enjoy a summer afternoon with a fantastic atmosphere and friendly competition.”
More than just a cricket event, Street Sixes offers businesses a chance to step away from the day to day, strengthen team connections and enjoy something different together. It has become a standout fixture in Worcester’s summer calendar, combining friendly competition with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. At its core, the event is about community. It brings together people from different industries and backgrounds, all taking part in the same shared experience while supporting a common cause.
The entry fee is £500 per team, with all funds supporting the Worcestershire Cricket Foundation’s work across the county. This includes programmes focused on inclusion, wellbeing and youth development, helping to make cricket accessible to more people across Worcestershire.
“Worcester Street Sixes continues to grow each year, and it is fantastic to see so many businesses getting involved,” added Harry Kitchen, Worcestershire Cricket Foundation. “It is a brilliant way to bring teams together, enjoy the city in a different way and support programmes that make cricket accessible to everyone.”
Businesses interested in entering a team are encouraged to sign up early, with a deadline of Friday 29 May to secure their place.
