Doors Open at Brand-New Ludlow Charity Warehouse

Shoppers were welcomed through the doors at St Michael’s Hospice’s new charity shop, Ludlow Home & Living.

The ribbon was cut by shop manager, Giles Kember, and Ludlow’s Mayor, Councillor Di Lyle, before customers were invited inside to explore the transformed former warehouse. Like St Michael’s other popular ‘Home & Living’ locations, this shop offers a variety of pre-loved goods, including furniture, homeware, clothing, books and media.

“I think the shop is truly amazing. It’s more than a shop, it’s an experience,” said Cllr Di Lyle.

In addition to raising vital income, the Ludlow shop will play an important role in helping raise awareness for the care and support the Hospice provides. St Michael’s Hospice are also keen champions of sustainability and hope this new location will encourage the local community to connect, donate and shop sustainably.

The Hospice team were also joined for the opening by local charity shop champions to help raise awareness about the benefits of this brand-new charity shop.

“This shop is a fantastic space with the most friendly staff,” said George Sargent. “There’s a great selection of stock in very spacious surroundings.”

Easily accessed just off the A49, on Ludlow Business Park, this new shop is open seven days a week and includes a separate Donation Centre open six days a week (Tuesday-Sunday) to allow customers to easily drop off donated goods.
