SME Solicitors, based on Sansome Walk in Worcester, is delighted to announce that its Private Client team has been awarded ‘Private Client Team of the Year’ at the Worcestershire Law Society Awards 2025. The team was recognised for its commitment to providing an exceptional service to its clients and for its support of the wider Worcestershire community.
Additionally, Private Client Secretary Jane Barker won the prestigious ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Legal Profession’ award, highlighting her expertise and commitment to her role.
The Worcestershire Law Society Awards are recognised among the county’s professional circles as one of the most prestigious legal awards in the region. SME Solicitors’ Private Client team has nearly 100 years of combined experience, which enables them to provide a comprehensive suite of private client services.

The panel of judges was particularly impressed by the firm’s approach to client care, the growth of its Court of Protection offerings in recent years and its community outreach programmes, including free legal advice clinics at Worcester Cathedral and Clent Connect Community Hub. Running since 2022, these clinics have helped to make essential legal advice, such as the writing of Wills, more accessible to hundreds of local residents.

The Worcestershire Law Society Awards ceremony took place at the Bank House Hotel in Bransford, Worcester on 15 September 2025, where SME Solicitors’ Private Client team accepted the award in front of local legal professionals.
