Massage therapy initiative launches across three hospital sites during National Stress Awareness Month
Hands On At Work has announced a new 12-month partnership with Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity, designed to boost the physical and mental wellbeing of NHS staff across Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, and Kidderminster Treatment Centre.
Launched in April 2025 to coincide with National Stress Awareness Month, the initiative delivers regular seated massage sessions for frontline staff — giving them space to rest, recharge, and feel cared for amid the pressures of healthcare work.
The programme builds on successful wellbeing services previously introduced at Kidderminster Treatment Centre, where massage and reflexology have already received glowing feedback from staff.
Sue Hayes, Hospital Engagement Officer at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity, said: “Hands on at Work has been a fantastic partner in the provision of onsite massages at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust, which has been funded by our Hospital Charity. Their therapists are superb and offer high quality massages that are really making a difference to the wellbeing of staff across all 3 of our Trust sites. I can highly recommend Hands on at Work and working with owner Kathy Scott is an absolute pleasure.”
Massage sessions are available across daytime, evening, and weekend shifts, ensuring all staff can benefit.
Kathy Scott, Director of Hands On At Work, added: “Our goal is simple, to support those who spend their days caring for others. NHS staff work incredibly hard, and this partnership is a way of saying thank you — not just with words, but with real, tangible care.”
