Worcester hospice gardens get spruced up by volunteers at property consultancy in city

Colleagues from a leading Worcester property consultancy spent a day giving back to the community by sprucing up the gardens of a well-known hospice in the city.

Staff from Fisher German’s Worcester office spent the day volunteering at St Richard’s Hospice to help maintain its beautiful gardens.

St Richard’s Hospice is an independent charity offering free, expert care for adults with an illness that cannot be cured, and support for their loved ones and carers.

The team of four from Fisher German – Lauren Allcoat-Hatton, Maxine Clarke, Pauline Evans, and Lucy O’Hare – used one of their annual volunteering days to support the hospice.

The group focussed their efforts on weeding and tidying the area outside 17 patient bedrooms used for specialist palliative and end-of-life care, creating a peaceful, welcoming environment for patients and their families.

“We are so grateful to the team from Fisher German for giving their time and energy to help us maintain our gardens,” said Ria Simons, Corporate Fundraising at St Richard’s Hospice.

“The outdoor spaces are incredibly important to our patients and their loved ones, offering a place of calm and reflection. Acts of kindness like this make a real difference.”

Lauren Allcoat-Hatton, Associate Partner in the Worcester office, said: “It was a privilege to spend the day at St Richard’s. Knowing that our work contributed to such a meaningful space for patients and their families made it incredibly rewarding.”

Lucy O’Hare, Senior Surveyor in the Worcester office, added: “It was a fantastic day. The hospice team were so welcoming, and it felt great to be able to give something back. Spending time together outside the office while doing something so worthwhile was a real highlight.”

Fisher German has supported St Richard’s Hospice for many years, including through continued sponsorship of its annual Lights of Love campaign.

The campaign allows people to dedicate a light on a beautiful Christmas tree in the memory of a loved one with a donation to the hospice.
