BetaDen, Worcestershire’s award-winning provider of support programmes for technology businesses and entrepreneurs, is expanding its footprint with a new base in the north of the county at the newly renovated Old Court in Kidderminster. This move marks an exciting new chapter for BetaDen as it continues to support innovative start-ups and scale-ups across the region.
The upcoming Intakes 5.0 and 6.0 of their Incubate programme for early-stage innovators, which has now supported over 40 local businesses, will be delivered from this new location. The expansion is part of its broader strategy to strengthen Worcestershire’s reputation as a hub for innovation and emerging technologies.
Donston Powell, External Affairs Director at BetaDen, commented: “Expanding into Kidderminster’s Old Court allows us to extend our reach and offer even more opportunities for businesses in the region.
“The investment in this historic site aligns with our mission to provide cutting-edge support to technology-led startups and scaleups, giving them the resources, mentorship, and network they need to thrive.”
The new base will also provide access to a range of on-site facilities designed to support innovation and product development. These will include 3D printing facilities, a fully equipped podcasting studio, and additional co-working and collaboration spaces.
BetaDen will host a public launch event on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025, at the Old Court in Kidderminster. At this event, they will unveil further details on both programmes, workshops, expansion plans, and partnerships. Registrations for the event are now open on the BetaDen website.
The incubator was previously hosted at The Kiln coworking space in Worcester. BetaDen will continue its relationship with The Kiln through future event collaborations to support the local tech ecosystem.
Meanwhile, the nationally award-winning BetaDen Accelerate programme will continue to operate from its base at Malvern Hills Science Park. Cohort 9.0 recruitment is expected to commence in late spring of 2025.
