TWO county sporting events that host around 2300 children per year have secured sponsorship for 2024.
Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire is delighted to announce AJB Sports In Education as the lead sponsor for the Worcestershire Spring and Summer School Games.
After sponsoring the Worcestershire Summer School Games in 2023, the organisation has generously provided further investment to cover both events this year.
The games provide a range of activities and sports for approximately 800 children and young people every year in April, and 1500 in July.
With something to suit everyone, the events give all children and young people the opportunity to express themselves through physical activity.
With 52 schools set to attend the Worcestershire Spring Games, and with 60 schools set to attend, the Worcestershire Summer Games is the ideal platform for AJB Sports in Education to showcase their offering to primary schools’ development of PE.
Stephen Brewster, Chief Executive Officer at Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire said: “We are incredibly grateful to have AJB Sports In Education as the Worcestershire School Games lead sponsor.
“Their support not only amplifies our objective of providing positive experiences for children and young people but affirms the power of collaboration in inspiring a generation.
“The Worcestershire School Games events are brilliant opportunities to provide meaningful experiences of sport and physical activity to young people in Worcestershire, and to provide inclusive opportunities to all, ensuring every young person present can have a positive experience of sport and physical activity at a young age, encouraging lifelong participation.”
The support of AJB enables educational settings to improve their PE offerings, helping more schools to provide physical activity opportunities that are suitable to all.
Andy Beeston, owner and founder AJB Sports in Education, said: “AJB Sports in Education are delighted to sponsor and to partner with Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire for the Worcestershire Spring and Summer School Games this year.
“We have had the pleasure of working with local primary schools and children in the Worcestershire area for the past eight years and have seen, not only the benefit of the school sports games but also the excitement it generates across the children.
“We are so excited to be a part of it this year and look forward to seeing lots of new and familiar faces there.”
