Bishop Fleming Announces Local Hospice As Charity Partner

The Worcester office of Bishop Fleming, a leading audit, accounting, tax, and advisory firm, is pleased to announce its partnership with St Richard’s Hospice as its chosen charity for the next 12 months.

St Richard’s Hospice offers free, expert care and support for adults with an illness that cannot be cured, their loved ones and carers.

Bishop Fleming’s decision to support St Richard’s Hospice reflects its commitment to being a responsible business and making a positive impact in the local community. In collaboration with Business in the Community, Bishop Fleming has developed a structured framework that helps the firm better understand its role and responsibilities in the community. This effort has resulted in its latest re-accreditation of being a Great Place to Work®.

This year, Bishop Fleming, has launched a major new responsible business initiative – 1% for Communities – a pledge to give back 1% of its turnover through impactful, community-focused volunteering, fundraising and related activities.

The partnership with St Richard’s Hospice will help Bishop Fleming and its employees to engage in meaningful community activities and contribute to a cause that aligns with its ambition and values.

During the partnership, Bishop Fleming plans to raise £10,000 through joint fundraising activities over the next 12 months. These initiatives will include a quiz evening, cake sales, sporting events, Christmas activities and also a skydive! The funds raised will directly support St Richard’s Hospice’s efforts to providing free hospice care and support to more than 1,220 patients, family members, and bereaved people every day – at the hospice, in people’s own homes or in the community.

Chris Walklett, Partner at Bishop Fleming, said: “We are delighted to have selected St Richard’s Hospice as our Charity of the Year.
