IQ Level 2 Organisation Award in Principles of Cyber Crime

A national qualification designed for micro and SME businesses along with personnel in larger organisations who require an understanding of Cyber Crime from a non technical stance.

The course is designed as a blend of self-study and tutor led learning, concluding with an objective test examination. A total of 15 guided learning hours make up this qualification, 5 hours self study and 10 tutor contact hours.

During this course delegates will study the UK’s plan, 10 points to cyber crime prevention and expand their knowledge around specific threats, identify key offenders and learn how to implement practical measures to reduce the probability and consequence of attack.

Topics covered:

  • Understand the elements of Cyber security and Cyber warfare.
  • Appreciate legislation, Computer Misuse Act 1990 sections 1-3.
  • Understand the elements of Information Security (IS).
  • Know the source and target of cyber threats.
  • Understand types of cyber attack.
  • Understand how to reduce probability and consequence of cyber attack.
  • Know post attack procedures.
