Worcester based Independent Connections Provider, Rock Power Connections, will be collecting Christmas Trees this New Year, in support of a recycling initiative that raises funds for St Richard’s Hospice.
Households around Worcestershire have signed up to the initiative, where they will make a donation to St. Richard’s Hospice in exchange for having their tree collected by the Rock Power Connections team between the 11th and 13th January 2019; taking the hassle out of the post-festive clear up, whilst raising money for the care of those living with a life-limiting illness.
This is the third year in a row that the local Independent Connections Provider have supported the initiative, as explained by Operations Director, Reece:
‘Every year the team and I thoroughly enjoy collecting the trees on behalf of St Richard’s Hospice. We all appreciate a Christmas tree for the festive season but the hassle to remove them can be a major downside.’
All donations will be used to help the independent charity in its mission to provide quality, free around the clock care to those living with a life-limiting illness, and, so far, at least 120 trees have been registered for collection.
Each year the hospice team supports over 2,500 patients and family members in Worcestershire, providing free specialist palliative care for patients living with life-limiting illnesses and supports their loved ones.
Reece continued: ‘We’re extremely honoured that we are participating in this amazing cause for another year and look forward to hearing the grand total after all the tree collections in January!’
Volunteer teams from local businesses will be collecting trees from the postcode areas around the majority of Worcester, Droitwich, Evesham and Malvern, where and the crew from Rock Power Connections will be doing the rounds in the Warndon Villages in WR4.
