What is this virtual seminar about?

This topical session reviews what the impact is on business of the UK’s departure from the Single Market and Customs Union at the end of 2020. The UK is now a 3rd country to the EU27 members and customs entry declarations and export and import paperwork are required.  UK government introduced a staged approach to the introduction of full regulations for goods coming from the EU into the UK, but the EU has not.  A Trade and Cooperation Agreement was approved late in December 2020, which enables goods that meet origin rules to be traded without import tariffs. The session includes:

  • What changed and how do we meet the requirements of the new customs regulations?
  • What difference does the Trade and Cooperation Agreement make?
  • Review of your delivery terms, are ExWorks and DDP problematic?
  • Are you ready for customs entries at export?
  • Import into the UK – how does the staged approach work?
  • Origin Rules – What are they, why do they matter and how can I find out if my products comply?
  • GB-Northern Ireland trade – what in practical terms will we have to do?

physically moving goods.  This seminar will remove misunderstanding and look at the practical impact of the end of the Transitional Arrangement.  The following are examples of the type of company personnel who need to keep up to date:
