“Transportation Transformation – Drive to Sustainability”

The shift to electric cars and vans is starting to gather pace, but what about heavier vehicles? And how can classic cars continue to be enjoyed with a low carbon powertrain? Two industry speakers share their insight into delivering low carbon industrial and classic vehicles.

The Sustainability Forum is a series of free events aimed at helping businesses draw upon good practice from industry experts and local businesses to help promote sustainable business practices, particularly focusing on resource efficiency.

Simon Hyde, Managing Director – FAUN Zoeller Ltd (FZUK)

Simon Hyde will explore how to ‘hit the reset button’ when it comes to the environment, local transport, the waste strategy and the funding constraints for the public sector and how hydrogen and battery powered fleets can make a big difference to tackling climate change and improving local air quality.

Gone are the days of ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to refuse collection; for FZUK success revolves around The Rotopress, a waste collection vehicle that, thanks to its unique rotating drum principle makes it the most economical refuse vehicle on the market.  FZUK, based in Redditch, is interested in developing long term strategic partnerships with Local Authorities that share their ambition to reach net zero in line with the Government’s ten-point plan for a green industrial revolution.

FZUK are municipal vehicle & refuse collection system specialists, supplying, manufacturing and servicing a wide range vehicles and systems including refuse collection bodies, lifting devices and road sweepers to both the public and private sectors.
