This six-hour course split into three parts, can be attended as a whole or each part is a stand-alone training session.

It’s the biggest growth area the world has ever seen, but so few businesses take the right approach to social media. This course explains what it is, how it can help your business and how to use it effectively, and efficiently.

Who is this course for?

Business owners, marketing & PR managers (or staff) and anyone who may have an active interest in the marketing and PR of the company. An introductory course that assumes little or no previous knowledge in digital marketing and PR.

Course Overview

This course is broken down into three 2-hour training sessions delivered over two separate days. It is recommended to attend both parts of the training session, but each section can also act as a standalone course.


This introductory course aims to give delegates a full understanding of how social media can increase brand awareness and help to market and sell your products and services. Aimed at those with little or no knowledge, or individuals in need of a refresh. Delivered as an interactive workshop via video conferencing software, Webinar Ninja delegates are encouraged to have access to a webcam and microphone to participate fully.

Course Content:

This course is broken down into the following sections, covering the below topics. Each session takes place on a different course date.

Session 1 – Facebook and Viral Marketing

  • Understanding Social Media platforms with Facebook
  • How organic reach and viral marketing work
  • How to create engaging content
  • Where advertising fits in and why you should boost posts

Session 2 – Facebook Advertising

  • Facebook Ads Manager – more than just boosting posts
  • Creating custom audiences for best impact
  • Planning your advertising campaigns as PR, Marketing or Sales driven
  • Creating ads that engage
  • Measuring success, ROI and budgets

Session 3 – Twitter and LinkedIn

  • Social Media platforms that work with B2B audiences
  • Understanding hashtags, mentions and timing
  • Twitter’s conversation nature and how to leverage it effectively
  • LinkedIn’s online alternative to networking
