Full-time: 37 hours (flexible working arrangements would be considered), Salary: £30,000 p.a. + benefits, Location: Worcester based

The Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce is a member-led, not for profit organisation which works to support the local business community and our network of members.

We have an immediate requirement for a Skills Engagement Manager to join our Business Engagement Team, working in partnership with Worcestershire County Council.

The main function of this role is to act as the first point of contact for businesses around the skills agenda.
You will be responsible for identifying a range of solutions for each business to support their own skills requirements and encouraging the uptake of new apprenticeship starts in Worcestershire, whilst also managing the Careers & Enterprise Advisor contract on behalf of the Chamber, identifying and engaging new enterprise advisors to join the scheme.

You will engage with the skills team at Worcestershire County Council, attending monthly team meetings and maintaining regularly contact whilst working collaboratively on the Worcestershire skills agenda, engaging with businesses and stakeholders (such as Worcestershire Business Central, DIT, Local authorities and the Training Providers Association) to raise the profile of apprenticeships.

You will promote the Worcestershire skills offer to businesses via a range of marketing channels including print, electronic communications, social media and face to face, attending and presenting at networking events and supporting the delivery of the Worcestershire Skills Show.

The successful candidate will have proven experience within a business engagement role and in either the Apprenticeship or Further Education sector or have knowledge of business resource requirements.

You will be commercially aware and customer focused with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to multitask and work effectively on several projects at any one time.
