SOLAR PANELS UP FOR GRABS FROM THE M&S ENERGY FUND – BUT WE NEED YOUR VOTES!

Date: 02/10/2017

Sight Concern Worcestershire, your county charity which helps blind and partially sighted people to lead independent and fulfilling lives, is making a bid to the M&S Energy Community Energy Fund, a newly launched scheme to help community groups looking to install renewable technology or energy efficiency measures.

Our bid is for a grant of up to £12,000 towards upgrading our energy system at The Bradbury Centre, our head office on Sansome Walk – but we need the public’s help to secure those all-important funds.

M&S Energy have set aside £300,000 across the country to help community groups install renewable technology or energy efficiency measures. We have been shortlisted locally – and now it’s down to the public, and our supporters, to vote for us. If we gain enough votes, we’ll receive this all-important grant. And voting is now open online.

Jenny Gage, Chief Officer of Sight Concern Worcestershire, says, “We need to update our premises and one of the most important things we can do is upgrade our energy efficiency measures.” She added, “That’s why we’ve put in a bid for £12,000 to fund solar panels here at the Centre. The savings from reduced energy costs will allow us to offer further services across the county, and to develop the centre for hire when not in use by clients to generate more income.”

Please vote for us by going to the link www.mandsenergyfund.com/project/sightconcern-worcestershire or visit www.mandsenergy fund.com and search for Central Region and Sight Concern. It only takes a few moments to sign in and vote. And remember – every vote counts… including yours!
